Dana Abselem, MSW/LCSW
Dana Abselem is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field at a variety of levels including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. I try to offer sessions in ways that best fit each individual’s needs. Typically, I have a person-centered approach to therapy and incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy with DBT techniques.
I have experience working with individuals with a history of trauma, those working through life transitions, school issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar and psychotic disorders, and those looking to develop a healthier and happier life. I aim to create a safe space for self-exploration and to be a pillar of support through individuals’ journeys using compassion, empathy, and evidence based practices. Together, we can collaborate to identify and understand what is not working for individuals, and develop habits, patterns, and strategies that do. I hope to empower individuals to use the strengths they already have to make positive changes in their lives.
