I grew up stressed  by long treks to fetch water, catch public transport and struggle with  psychosocial needs. The value of hard work, honesty and integrity were traits in-grained  in the village. Perhaps this is where community mental health intervention became real.  For twelve years this became an experience: Engaging  in vulnerability support. The blessing of  family, a daughter with special needs, struggle with stigma, energizes one to being non judgemental. Our vulnerability  can be a  strength. Consequently a client -centered approach  and motivation interviewing are some favorite tools of trade.
