Depressive Disorders

Depressive disorders occur when a persistent low mood interferes with a person’s ability to function normally. Symptoms can include feeling sad, withdrawing from social circles, feeling irritable or restless, disrupted sleep patterns, disrupted appetite, unexplained physical aches and pains, impaired cognitive function, feeling worthless, and considering self-harm. There are many different causes. Depressive disorders are highly treatable with medication and therapy.
